Actor Ben Davies, best known for his supporting role in the Christian film, Courageous, will co-emcee Elite Automotive’s 9th Annual Run to the Lights 5k Race, Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at Silver Dollar City, raising funds to help Single Moms.

Davies has been acting since before he could walk. In fact, he was still in diapers when he appeared in his first national TV and print ad campaign. As an athlete, Track and Field News ranked him the No. 1 high school decathlete in the nation in 2008. Ben was named “Best Athlete” of his college conference in 2013.

Courageous (2011) was Ben’s first co-starring role in a feature film. The next summer, Ben filed New Hope and won “Best Supporting Actor” at the Kingdomwood Film Festival. During his college career, Ben has booked lead roles in 12 feature films while managing to make the Dean’s List. Ben was honored to receive the “Light in Hollywood” award and strives to be a role model.

Davies will be on hand to sign autographs at the race.

Registration and event schedule is available at www.runtothelights.com. Race entrance fees are $35 for adults and $15 for children under 12. All registered participants receive a one-day pass to Silver Dollar City and a t-shirt. Pre-race events start at 6:00 pm and the race begins at 10:10 pm.

Run to the Lights is a family fun holiday tradition. Amidst millions of Christmas lights, runners and walkers get into the Christmas spirit, winding through the streets of Silver Dollar City, all the while contributing to the worthy cause of serving Single Moms. Peter Herschend, co-founder of Silver Dollar City, will present awards to the top three places in eight different age categories and an overall male and female winner.
